The hustle and bustle of the students wandering the halls, with their laughter and chatter, was subdued by the four walls that now surround her. Natalya barricaded herself in the safety of the study room.
Every so often, she may hear a teacher or staff member raise their voice, inefficiently berating the students of their rambunctious ways. They were being so loud, so how can they control students with hypocrisy?
In her hands she held a large, decrepit old book, marred from antiquity. Natalya blocked out the rest of the world, plummeting down into a world of her own that hid beneath those pages. Sometimes she found reading so dull and boring, she couldn't be bothered by such a hobby.
However, when she did find a story to her liking, she became completely engrossed in the tale and would read on for hours upon hours. She sometimes remained in that reclusive room in the library even after the bell rang for class. Yes, she is guilty of skipping her studies for the sake of a novel.
It wasn't a big deal, for her marks were decent and honestly...most of her follow peers and the oh so authoritative staff members were a bit frightened of Miss Arlovskaya.
