Mei wasn't much of a reader. It wasn't that she disliked books but she rarely ever found time to read anything. The only thing she did read would be the books and papers that she was given in class, and she would read most of them in advance. Her method of getting good grades was knowing everything before she was taught it. Then Mei would be prepared when it came up.
That wasn't why she was in the library though. In fact, she wasn't sure why she was here anyway. She had just stumbled in there after class was over and didn't feel like leaving. It was sort of quiet and she preferred that instead of absolute silence like in the study rooms. Absolute silence were sort of scary and intimidating when she wasn't studying.
If she wasn't studying though, then what was she doing? Mei was staring at a bookshelf as if the shelf itself would pick out a book for her. She couldn't help but think of how large it was and wonder where all these books came from. After staring at the shelf for five minutes, Mei decided to just sit down and finish any homework that she hadn't done yet.
She rummaged in her bag for a moment, but realised that she had already finished her homework. The Asian girl laid her head on the table and sighed. She could always just sit here and hope for something to happen.

(( Hope you don't mind if I post...? D: ))
Feliks was actually somewhat fond of libraries. It was strange, yes, given that he didn't have anything even resembling an affinity for reading, but the overall atmosphere of the library had always appealed to him. Probably because it was somewhere so quiet no one would be able to ignore him-- so sometimes, upon feeling a pang of loneliness and being too lazy to catch up on necessary assignments or study, he would go into the school's most quiet rooms just for that reason: To disturb the peace.
And usually the librarians didn't mind. There was a 50-50 chance of getting kicked out, maybe, but Feliks had never gotten in trouble for talking loudly in the library. That would be totally dumb, like, 'I'm sending you to the office for talking' or something. But when he poked his head into the vast room, there was nobody there. Like, literally, the librarian was on a lunch break or something like that. Outside the steady hum of student chit-chatter could be heard, but the library was spookily silent. Time for an investigation, he thought, creeping into the library as if he really did have to be quiet. He poked around the lines of books, the front counter, until coming to the back with the neatly aligned tables.
There was one girl. Asian, by the looks of it, and with her head lying on the table as if depressed. He was tenative about talking to her for a moment, timidly smoothing the folds of his skirt-- because yes, he was wearing the girl's uniform, and he proudly looked just as feminine as she was. Feliks didn't stare that long before sitting on the table beside her, tapping her head with curiosity. Ooh, nice hair. Silky.
"Umm...Like... hey, how come the library's so empty? Did you scare everyone away or something?" He asked softly, smiling at his own fun-poking as he kicked his legs out over the side of the table. Left. Right. Left. He was bored enough to talk to someone outright, at least.

(( Aww~ of course not! ))
Mei hadn't actually expected anything to happen, so when someone had tapped her head, she reacted with a squeak and almost jumped out of her chair. She took a moment to see who was next to her and realised that it was just another student. There was nothing to be scared of, and Mei had just embarassed herself in front of a classmate. Smooth she thought. Then she frowned when the girl spoke. "Do I look like I could scare people away?" Mei crossed her arms and sighed. She was probably just teasing her but Mei couldn't help it. She didn't usually respond well to that sort of thing. "And I guess the library is like this because everyone is outside or something."
She took the time to actually look at who she was talking to. The girl had short blonde hair and pretty green eyes. Mei was pretty sure that she hadn't seen her around much. Of course, Mei didn't know everyone in the school. It wasn't much of a surprise. Ah, but the girl did look like a nice person. The Asian could use a good conversation right about now.
"I'm Zheng Mei, but you can call me Mei!" She smiled, "so what brings you to the library anyway? Since it's sort of empty and all."
